Life often feels like a circular race track. We tend to run in the same direction over and over and end up right back where we were. This doesn’t make you a failure. There is often something we can’t see because we refuse to slow down long enough to reflect and change course. Accept this down time.

I know you probably feel a bit of cabin fever, as we all do, but we don’t have a choice at this time. If you’re reading this you’re likely safe at home today. I encourage you to sit down and write for five minutes. Make a list or pen a journal of all the things in your life there is to be grateful for. Many are still sleeping in the streets tonight. There is always something for us to be grateful for, and sometimes we have to force our perspective.

It’s one reason I always remind you that one of my favorite Tarot cards is the Hanged Man. Sometimes I don’t like it at all because it’s a reminder that all I can do when things are out of my control is change my perspective. Ultimately the card is correct and it’s the message I need. Even if I don’t feel like it in that moment I often come around and choose the right path.

This isn’t to minimize your struggles, hardships, or pain. It all counts and it all matters. Your grievances are valid. However, are they serving you when you focus on them rather than a way to feel at peace among them? If there is something you cannot change the worry and anxiety will not change it. If there is something you can change then why are you worried rather than working to change it?

I laid in bed the other night full of anxiety and fear. Via a video I found with a message from Archangel Gabriel I was told that when we feel fear and anxiety it’s okay. In fact, it’s a normal response to what we are experiencing. I was told not to avoid it and wish it away, but instead to talk to it, so that’s what I did. I thanked the fear and anxiety for caring so much and trying to protect me.

I explained to the fear and anxiety that when they are here it’s harder for me to feel safe and protected. We don’t make the best decisions when fear and anxiety are present. The longer I validated and spoke to the fear and anxiety the more it eased. After about ten minutes it was gone completely, and I was able to fall asleep soundly.

I encourage you to speak to yours, too. Validate it and explain that you do not need saving. That your higher self is in charge and you got this. Fear and anxiety are not your enemies. They are natural fight or flight responses to trauma and change. When you stop viewing it as an awful monster you can deal with it much easier.

It’s like an over-protective parent who can sometimes cause more harm than good. So have a conversation with it and see if you can work out a deal. Mind over matter is something you have the power to tap into at any time. If it takes you a while that’s okay, too. Take all the time you need, but make a deal with yourself not to unpack and live in misery.

We are climbing a mountain right now. On the other side of that mountain is a fairer, more just world waiting. We will get to the other side having learned, evolved, and grown for the experience should we so choose. The mountain isn’t easy to climb, but the reward at the top is worth it.

It’s a time for us to chop wood and carry water. It’s the least fun part of any vision and goal, but the most necessary. Don’t forget to have some fun along the way. It’s okay to take breaks and rest. To dance, play with children, sing a song, draw, write, paint, or whatever it is your heart calls you to do.

We need our creative, fun side as much as we do our serious, hard-working side. It’s all about balance between work and play, between our light and shadow, between humanity and nature, and between you and the people you choose to have in your life.

I’m going to share the astrology and energy we have going on this week:

Yesterday the Sun entered Taurus, and this will make it easier for you to fall into the slow down and find what interests you in the physical world. This could be art, movies, people, food. Companionship and follow through will be easier.

The Moon is in Aries, which can have us feeling impulsive and ready to try new things. It can bring a flirtatious energy. Just be cautious not to blurt out the first thing that comes to your mind because Aries can make us very reactive and we can find ourselves in a pit of sand that is hard to get out of.

Today we have the Sun square Saturn. Saturn is all about time and it’s in opposition to how we approach the commitments Taurus loves to make and dedicate itself to. This means we have the opportunity to see what we need to be doing with our time in order to follow through with our plans much easier. It’s a good day to meditate and create a loose schedule to follow; especially if you’re working on a project.

Tomorrow the Sun and the Moon will both be in Taurus. It is a Taurus new moon and will make us feel like kicking off spring flings. You may find it harder to be alone. Try to find ways to create intimate connections and make yourself feel special. Even if it’s through face time and a bubble bath.

The 23rd and 24th there isn’t a whole lot of change to that feel. The Sun and Moon will both still be Taurus and you’ll be able to continue tapping into that energy. Make sure if you’re feeling particularly lonely that you reach out via phone calls, face time, or messages to those you love. Don’t dwell on the loneliness if possible.

On the 25th, which is Saturday, the Moon is in Gemini. This means you’re thinking about everything at once, wanting to break routines, and more interested in play than work. If you don’t like your current reality you will use your imagination to dream up something better. Tap into that and get creative. This is another reason I suggest loose schedules because sometimes Spirit calls you to create and you should listen.

That same day we have Mercury in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn. This amps up the likelihood that you will notice what isn’t working for you anymore. You will feel the desire to improve your decisions and choices, or the need to improve them will become apparent. There is the potential to be triggered emotionally by something someone else says, so be self-aware and don’t react. Wait and then respond.

Pluto is also going retrograde until Oct. 4th. It’s a good time to remove blocks in your subconscious that keep you from living your best life. I highly recommend time in meditation and keeping a journal. Pluto retrograde will make your shadow side apparent. Not so you can feel bad about it or avoid it, but so that you can be illuminated to the illusions it has created for you and release them.

Sunday, the 26th, Mercury in Aries squares Jupiter in Capricorn. This means you will likely not find yourself sitting still. It isn’t likely to be a lazy Sunday. Your attention could be called to work, or you may feel extra driven to spring clean or get something done. You may also have to finally communicate to someone who has been holding you back how you really feel. It’s a good time to look at how you sabotage yourself as well.

The Taurus Sun will be conjunct Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is a rebellious planet and in this position it compliments the Sun, as both are in earthy, stubborn Taurus. You may see people standing up for their beliefs more and being unwilling to change their beliefs, routines, or positions. So be aware of this and steer clear of debates. Make sure you’re keeping an open mind.
