When you own your worthiness of basic respect it’s amazing how you stop caring what those who disrespect you have to say. When you are no longer willing to people please your way into their unhealed hearts they will protest, gossip, complain, tarnish your character, but you won’t care.

When you first start asserting yourself you’ll be afraid it seems aggressive. But what happens is we don’t assert ourselves, we choose our resentment, and explode in aggression and anger later anyway. You can say a thing kindly and firmly. You can be confident and humble.

You’re a beautiful soul. The way you rise from slumber each new dawn and converse with the universe. The way you network with your higher self. The way you affirm what you want as if it’s already yours. The self-awareness alive in you, even in moments when things feel so surreal.

When imposter syndrome is threatening to take you down. The way you’ve learned to sit in uncomfortable feelings because they are just feelings. They come and they go. There is no need to rush them off.

The way you don’t berate yourself for coming out of character because you have learned that everyone is who they are most consistently, and you have become so god damn consistent. But I am here to bring you a message from the universe tonight. One that you really, truly need.

It’s time to release the pressure.

Whenever you feel pressured and overwhelmed that is a sign that you’re not aligned. That you’re in perfectionist mode, and not a mode where you believe you’re good enough and capable enough to handle whatever is in front of you. This leads us to project and give away our power.

This year is about leadership and there is a quote I want to share. There is one line, in particular, that stood out to me. Because that’s what I’ve been meant to learn this entire time. With the current situation I am experiencing it’s all led to this one line.

“Being a leader (and in my mind, every single one of us has an obligation to show leadership daily- regardless of title or position) isn’t about being liked. It’s about doing what’s right.”

I was going around saying I have no power to influence an environment, and the entire time I was doing just that. The muddiness of deception is all around us, and it’s hard to figure out who your real people are if you’re not aligned with your highest vibration. Start every day aligning.

From this moment forward every time you feel pressure, anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or worry I want you to pause. I want you to sit in it and remind yourself it won’t last forever. That you’re strong enough to hold space for yourself and the way that you feel.

I want you to try tapping, moving your body, whatever tool out there that works for you. Bring yourself slowly back to center. It’s time to learn how to make yourself feel safe in any situation. It’s a power time to stop playing the supporting role for everyone else, and become the main character of your own life. To embrace your quiet power.

No matter your title or position, no matter the energy someone else brings to the table, you are are solely responsible for yours. ❤

Adjust Your Sails

You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors. ― Andrew Boyd
