If you find yourself irritated by someone who refuses to grow and change what are they mirroring back to you about you? Their refusal to change should incite you to set healthy boundaries and leave them behind if need be, but you’re not living in love. You’re living in fear of abandonment. So the cycle continues because you both refuse to change.

You’ve decided it’s time to discover yourself. Congratulations if you’ve made it this far. Know that as you find your bearings on this journey you’ll come to realize nothing is ever as stable or sure as it seems. You may go from one extreme to another as you work your way through what works and what doesn’t. Keep going and don’t give up. Shame is a liar.

Your stability must be within you. It’s in your ability to regulate your emotions, so that no matter the chaos outside of you, you remain present and calm. It’s in understanding life is full of ups and downs, so it’s okay to fully embrace the ups, knowing you’ll find a way through the downs.
