I want you to think of the type of people you’re attracted to. Most people are attracted to confidence. We are attracted to those who will assert themselves and not take anyone’s disrespect. Insecurity, clinginess, victim mindsets, attention seeking behaviors, begging, we do not find those things attractive.

When people are insecure and attention seeking they are broken. Most people sit around and judge them, laughing at them to feel better about their own lives. It’s a false sense of validation so they don’t have to change their own situations. But I digress. It is unattractive nonetheless.

Usually those type of people end up in toxic relationships being abused. They don’t have any self-respect or self-awareness. They just want to love and belong to someone. So, they tolerate things those with even a small amount of self-respect would never tolerate. It doesn’t make them evil or bad. It makes them in desperate need of healing.

Consider this when you think of your relationship. When you first met your partner you were probably faking a confidence you didn’t really feel. Or maybe you were confident, but your partner began to disrespect you and steal that confidence away from you.

And, even though their lower self is benefitting from your lack of self-respect they aren’t attracted to it. That desperate, needy energy is unattractive. You’re…
