Saturn’s Story
Saturn stationed direct yesterday, and I’d like to talk about it. I’m going to give a general overview, and then explain where that energy is in your chart, based on your Rising sign or Ascendant. The taskmaster is back.
When a planet goes retrograde (Rx), the will and agenda of that planet is stripped away from it. It is a great time to consider what the planet represents, where it is transiting in your chart, where it’s placed in your chart, the house/s it rules, and any aspects it is making to other placements.
It can represent a reversal of fortune, a delay, a setback, a blockage of some sort. It’s not a time you’re likely moving forward. It’s about us taking the time to cultivate patience. To reflect, revise, and re-route if necessary. A Rx is a great time to touch base with your higher self and ask questions.
Saturn represents restriction, boundaries, karma, hard work, responsibility, the taskmaster, sent to whip us into shape. It wants us to mature and create self-discipline, and this can take a while. The longer we project a poor me response to choosing our own resentment the longer it will take.
The lessons are harsh, but in many cases it boils down to us as individuals. What choices are you making in your life? Are you miserable because you refuse to leave the old behind? So often we cause our own misery. Yes, leaving old parts behind is hard, but so is staying where you are. Choose your hard.
Saturn is about rules, regulations, structure, foundations, obligations, ambitions, and accountability. Our greatest fear is our own power, and Saturn is trying to teach us to stop giving it away. It’s time to step into your greatness, and to take full responsibility for where you are, and where you’re going.
Wherever he is transiting in your chart something is about to move. I’d pay attention because on the 18th Jupiter goes direct in the same place. As will Mercury station direct in Libra. This could open communication. You may start feeling a slight lifting now, but after the 18th I expect more momentum.
