Finding your Purpose in your chart

I’m using my own chart because I know many people are uncomfortable having their chart out there for the world to see. I’m an open book, so it doesn’t bother me. I’m going to explain how to decipher your purpose from your chart.

It’s important to start by letting you know that I prefer the whole sign system. Now, this also works with placidus, and I’ll explain that process some as we go in case you prefer that system. The two most important things to consider related to career and purpose are the tenth house and the Midheaven (MC).

You want to look at what signs are there, what planets rule those signs, and where those planets are in your chart. Transits to these areas can bring you major shifts and insight. The tenth house is all about your career and public image. The MC gives us further insight into your purpose.

For me, the public image and career house is in Taurus. Venus rules Taurus from my sixth house in whole signs. We can tell from this that my public image will likely be something related to love and relationships.

My Venus is in Capricorn. Capricorn is where we leave a legacy. I want to leave a legacy of love. Capricorn is also associated with work, as is the sixth house. So, my work may involve something to do with how we love. How we can achieve love in our daily routines and life.

My MC falls in the ninth house. This can tell us that I am meant to teach, guide, and mentor others. That things I’ve learned can be used toward my life purpose. When the MC falls in the 9th house your work and reputation won’t be defined by…
