Coming Home to Yourself

The reason so many of us can’t be real with one another is because so many of us are not able to be real with ourselves. See, the only true home is found the day you become comfortable living in all your skins. The day you’re able to sit with uncomfortable emotions and process them, so you can move forward, trusting your intuition and the unknown path in front of you.

Vulnerability is often taught to us as weakness. At one time in our existence it could have gotten you killed. Back when we really needed our fight or flight responses. We really don’t need it so much now, and I think that’s why so many of us live with anxiety and fear. Afraid to be hurt in our soft centers, so we tend to hide behind a shell. Hello, Cancer season, we meet again.

Cancer is my 12th house. I feel so incredibly deeply because not only do I feel my own emotions, but I’m tapped into the collective. I have dreams and visions that come true a lot. It can even be the simplest of predictions. The more peace I find within, the more I’ve learned to heal my shame, to process my emotions, the clearer the messages become.

This is the goal in life. To get so good at navigating your emotions that you can still yourself and heed that inner voice. That you can hear what your higher self is saying to you. Healthy detachment is a beautiful thing. Learning to self-regulate is a skill you will…
