Update on Life:
For those curious things are still very up in the air with John’s health. The past two weeks have been brutally hard. He is fighting end stage kidney disease and has been on dialysis since right before Christmas. Recently he began passing out during sessions due to low blood pressure, and has had to do several emergency stops.
Last Friday he began to run high fevers and experience excruciating pain in his kidneys that wrapped around his body. We’ve been in and out of the hospital, only for them to tell us there is an obvious infection, but they cannot find it. Hello, Neptune at the anaretic degree of his sixth house!
He is currently set to do ten rounds of IV antibiotics. He simply cannot work right now. So every consultation you book with me is assistance in supporting our family. Saturn isn’t done with me yet. He is currently opposing my natal Moon Saturn conjunction, and when he goes Rx he will go back over them twice.
These are some of the things we can discuss in a reading. I’m going to give you a few examples below using different charts and styles. I’ll keep them brief, as the consults are an hour long, and these are just snippets of what the consultation will be like. Zoom, phone calls, in person if you’re close, we have several options for our meeting.

The Jupiter Uranus conjunction in Taurus was said to bring unexpected gifts in the area Taurus rules in your chart. For me that is the tenth house of career and reputation. I am also in a tenth house profection year, which puts a focus on that same area.
And in my solar return I am ruled by the Moon, which is in my 2nd house of resources, and in the tenth house of the solar return chart. So heavy emphasis here on my career and public recognition. And in my case, this is exactly what has taken place.
I received a call for a job I never applied for. It’s a good job. She found my resume on Indeed and wanted to meet with me. This has led to a new position with a prestigious college working in their healthcare administration sector as a floating admin.
It gives me $3.50 more per hour than I make currently. It offers me no out of pocket cost health insurance, and crazy good benefits. I will also be launching other things soon that will be putting myself out there more. So while there are some hard things we are dealing with we still find reasons to be grateful and embrace joy and connection.
Let’s talk charts and examples:
This is John’s chart. Let’s say he was someone who booked an open discussion reading because he wanted to discuss his health situation. I would take note immediately of Saturn and Neptune in his sixth house, which is the house related to health and wellness.
Saturn is a malefic planet who wants discipline and structure brought to this area of his life, and Neptune creates illusion and confusion. He is at the last degree of Pisces, but still in Pisces. This would explain why he is experiencing all these symptoms and they cannot find the infection causing them. I also note Neptune is square Vesta in the fourth house.
Vesta in the 4th shows how badly he likes to take care of home and family. It means everything to him. And Neptune in square is the tension he feels from not being able to do that right now. These confusing symptoms are preventing him from working and contributing in ways he is used to.
Neptune is also opposite his Pluto. I think the orb from the Moon is large enough now to not count. This has been difficult to watch as someone who loves him deeply. But it’s a time in his life where he is being forced to grapple with his own mortality. To realize that he has projected this image of a superman out into the world that is impossible to maintain.
I would explain to him that this aspect is probably one of the most difficult. His greatest fears are being unearthed. Any energetic blocks during this period will manifest as physical illness and injury, wanting him to slow down, to pay attention, to deal with the underlying issues.
The beauty of this transit is that on the other side there is deep understanding and appreciation of resting in flow. There is freedom found in facing huge fears. I would encourage if he feels abandoned at this time to go within and seek a conversation with his higher self.
Saturn is not currently making any aspects, but rules his 4th and 5th houses. So some of this is related to childhood wounds being healed. To resolving inner trauma. To finding new ways to enjoy life and have fun. Some of his habits from childhood should be revisited to see if they are helpful or harmful to his healing.
I would also look at what Jupiter is doing because it rules his house of health. It also rules his 3rd house of communication, community, and mindset. His Jupiter is in the 2nd house in Scorpio. So he will expand his resources if he values himself enough to seek help from his community. He is learning he cannot undertake everything alone.
In transit Jupiter is in his Taurus 8th house. This can show that due to his health he is being forced to face his mortality as well, but also that anyone he is joined with in terms of resources is a benefactor at this time. And my resources are not huge at this time, but I am moving up.
Jupiter via transit is trine his Pluto, opposite his natal Jupiter, and sextile his Venus. The trine to Pluto can speak to him being forced to face issues he has allowing others to care for him. He is understanding at this time that his power and influence goes beyond what he can do physically.
He is the first man who I have felt truly and completely safe with. He has made it an emotionally safe relationship. And that means so much more to me than whatever he could provide materially.
The Jupiter opposition speaks to there being ways to expand his resources through joining or partnering with others. The sextile to Venus shows this as well. He does have some easier things being talked about with his old boss and others. Jobs that he could do that wouldn’t require physical strength and work. He would basically supervise things.
We would likely go on to see how the transits play out as we move forward, and look for a space where the issues may ease and calm down. I hope this example has been helpful. I know for me, just seeing it in the charts playing out gives me hope that there is a master plan.

Let’s say this person contacted me wanting a birth chart breakdown. We don’t need the transits for that. We are simply diving into the chart itself and what it means. Scorpio Risings are here to transform in huge ways. They end their lives much differently from how they begin.
I use Mars as the traditional ruler of Scorpio, so this person is ruled by a malefic planet. His Mars is in the 2nd house in Sagittarius and awfully close to Pluto, the modern ruler of his chart. Both rulers are together in the 2nd house, suggesting he will transform most in what he values, in how much he values himself, and his personal resources and possessions.
Now Mars also rules the 6th house of health, wellness, routines, and work. So he will likely transform most through shifting his schedule. He has to prioritize what is important. Give up what he wants right now for what he wants most. Sacrifice for the greater good.
The fact that has Juno conjunct his Ascendant shows how attached he gets to partners. He literally feels as if they are one. Two years ago he was broken up with and attempted unaliving himself. I am so thankful that did not work out. He grew afraid after swallowing the pills and told on himself, so we were able to get him help in time.
Now he is experiencing a harder breakup than that one, but this time he has already grown. He understands that unaliving is not the answer. He did do a little self-harm and has struggled, but he is here and he is working a good job, and he just got a new space. He is going to be okay.
I do feel for him because when he connects romantically he connects on this entirely different level, and it’s in Scorpio. Scorpio doesn’t let to let go of anything. It’s fixed water and is emotionally attached with deep roots that do not want to release. He wants partners who are enduring and steady no matter what he throws at them, and that is just unfair.
However, Juno is also sextile his third house Chiron in Capricorn. This shows us that his greatest wounds are why he clings to partners. He feels rejected by his community, and as if he has never belonged. Siblings and friends at school may have been the source of his greatest pain, too.
In his case, he is the youngest child and the only child with a different father than the other three. He has suffered tremendously for that, but the other kids did, too. And Chiron is so close to his Venus, too. So his view of relationships is tainted by projection and bad examples.
His hope is that Venus is also sextile Pallas in his 5th house. He can easily recognize and break patterns related to romance, fun, and pleasure. Even parenting if he wanted to. This particular man doesn’t want children.
Something else I notice right away is that Jupiter is in his Leo tenth house and it’s Rx. He feels like he wants to shine. He wants to be abundant. But it’s Rx so he feels jealous of others who have it instead. But Jupiter is approaching trine to his chart ruler, Mars, in the 2nd house.
He will have all of those things when he finds value in vulnerability. When he carries himself authentically, walking with the wounds, instead of letting them rush off ahead of his logic and reasoning.
He may be curious what he should do for a living. With a Sagittarius 2nd house I would say anything involving teaching, guiding, expanding others in some way. Jupiter is the ruler from that Leo tenth house. He’d make a great makeup artist or musician. Funny that he is into doing makeup and once loved playing the sax.
He has markers of fame here honestly, but that Chiron in the third has to be addressed. He has to believe in himself and he finds that so hard to do. He has a Saturn Moon conjunction in the 8th house. I resonate because I have that, too, in a different house.
It speaks to the depression he often finds himself in. But with that North Node close by he is meant to dive deep and figure that out. He will do best to join resources with idea people who communicate to him in ways that inspire him to grow.
His Aries sixth house shows that whatever he does for work it should be fun and require courage. I would even say sales is good for this person. That Capricorn third house with Venus and Mercury? Sweet talker if he wanted to be. But Chiron throws a wrench in there for sure.
Because he knows there is greatness inside of him one moment, but the next he doubts it deeply. With Saturn being conjunct his Moon it’s possible his mother could be of help here. I say that because Saturn rules his 3rd house. She is likely responsible for his wounds in some way.
But because of the aspects his Moon makes to his Sun there is something about his mother that helps him understand his father and the childhood he grew up in. She helps him become more responsible for his emotions. I also note Jupiter is opposite Neptune.
The only thing standing in the way of his fame and fortune is the illusion that where he comes from says anything about where he is going. It’s his beliefs and philosophies about life. That’s his 9th house of Cancer, where his Part of Fortune is. So he will get there.
This is a snippet of what we can learn. We never even touched on what type of relationships he needs or what he is meant to learn from them. There is so much more we can go into with an hour’s time.

This is my chart. Let’s say this was the chart of a client asking about the transits she will have upon starting a new job. I’m using astroseek here because it allows for me to put in an exact time, and the job starts May 14th at 8 am. So that’s what we are pulling up.
Houses 2, 6, and 10 are the most relevant when we are talking about jobs. So I would start there. I would note that this woman is in a tenth house profection year, which puts a major focus on career, reputation, and image. And her tenth house is Taurus. There is a lot happening there.
She first caught wind of this opportunity back around the Jupiter Uranus conjunction, which makes sense. It’s not an opportunity she was expecting, so that’s the shock of Uranus, but it was a gift, so there is Jupiter. This was actually all over the chart, but that isn’t what we are here for today.
The day of her 2nd house has the Part of Fortune at 11 Virgo, which is in exact conjunction with her Saturn, and in opposition to transit Saturn in her 8th house. This bodes incredibly well for her resources and finances. She also has other ambitions this bodes well for since Saturn rules her 7th house of audience and clients.
Mercury rules her 2nd house of resources from the 7th, so she can make money from an audience and clients. Mercury is also sextile her MC exactly, meaning she is likely a guide of some sort. This job, however, is in the field of healthcare administration; how very Virgo. Ha!
The day she starts this new job Mercury is exactly conjunct her MC, which means he is trine her natal Mercury. This bodes incredibly well for her time at this company being fruitful. Also a great time for her to announce plans or launch something new.
So then we take a look at the sixth house of work, which is Capricorn. It’s interesting to me that Pluto will re-enter that house this fall, and once again square her MC. Something may pivot at that time. Saturn rules her 6th house from the 2nd and is trine her Venus there. And that POF is right on Saturn. This bodes well for her with the women she works with.
Transit Saturn is in the 8th house where insurance and that sort of thing would fall. So right on target there. Saturn is currently opposing her Saturn Moon conjunction and is not finished there by a long shot. I know other ways in which this has been brutal and depressing. But by the time she starts the job Saturn is leaving her other planets alone.
He is approaching a square to Neptune, but not quite there yet. I am not loving how Mars in Aries is squaring her Venus there. But I know her partner is very sick, and so this may cause some conflict with her job. Her relationships require work and effort.
Mars also rules her 4th house of home and family. So it’s my guess that she will still be dealing with hardships in the home and family when she starts this job. And the tension is her desire to be home and care for everyone, knowing she has to work and increase resources.
So then I’d want to look at her tenth house because this represents her career and the new authority she will answer to. We are just coming off a lovely New Moon here, so that is a good omen. Venus is here in her home sign. She is approaching a conjunction to transit Uranus and opposition to natal, which can once again show the tension in relationships vs career.
Venus is also square her Mars, while transit Mars was already approaching square to her Venus. This theme of shocks in the home and family trying to disrupt everything is very clear. That’s the biggest thing I’d watch for. She needs to make up her mind before she starts what she is willing to sacrifice and where that sacrifice has to come from.
Another thing that jumps out at me is the Sun is there in exact square to her natal Sun. The Sun is her chart ruler and an important piece to this. This aspect can cause a crisis in her confidence. This would be from challenges that are testing her resolve. There is this feeling as if she has to justify her decisions to others.
There is a potential to clash with either authority at work, or with anyone she has a close personal or professional relationship with. Nothing is perfect, but overall I feel this is a great move for her to make. It seems incredibly aligned with her path.
If we had time I would dive deeper into her return charts. Her Mercury return may be relevant, as her Venus would be. I’d probably even look at the current solar return, since the Sun rules the chart.
As an example:
This may be a tougher year with Cancer Rising because this is her natal 12th house. She will have to confront all the ways in which she is still sabotaging her own potential. This means her chart is ruled by the Moon, which is in the Aries tenth house conjunct the North Node and Chiron.
I like this because it speaks to her overcoming wounds and worry over what others think. She wants to put herself out there. The Moon really isn’t making any shadow aspects. And it gives emotional courage to be who she says she is in all spaces. It looks like her career and image is on the rise.
The Sun is important since that’s the return we are looking at. Here it’s in the 8th house, showing a major focus on joint resources and assets. Life insurance, health insurance, death and inheritance. Well, she is focused on those things because of her partner’s health, and an unexpected inheritance will be coming to her soon.
I would say this isn’t easy all the time because she has Mars conjunct Pluto at zero degrees of that 8th house. This does offer her the ability to step into her power and handle things. With Neptune conjunct the MC she may feel confused about what she wants.
Part of her wants to work this new job. Another part just wants to become a full time social media influencer helping others heal. So she may go back and forth with herself a lot, or find a way to do both.
Again I hope this was helpful. In our session we can do something like this, transits on a specific date and time, or we could talk about current transits in general. It’s amazing what astrology helps predict.
When John and I were planning the benefit I knew it could be no later Saturday than February 3rd. I knew this because any Saturday after that put a shadow aspect on parking and transportation. Sure enough we go to visit the space and the road is blocked off.
I called the city the next morning and he said I am lucky I didn’t do it any later because they wouldn’t have been able to open it. The following Monday they were drilling twenty feet into the ground. So they opened it and everything was smooth and beautiful.
